![]() Sunday, 29 June, 2008 I went to see 'Wall-E' on Friday with my kids. The younger ones didn't quite understand what was going on, but they loved the characters. I actually thought about the movie quite a bit all weekend, wondering if anyone was really paying attention to the story line or not. The guy next to me started the movie by using a penlight to work on something in his lap, then he was snoring for awhile, and finally he was laughing. I heard him tell his wife (I guess) as the credits were rolling, that the movie was really top notch. I've been listening to old Paul Simon songs. I like lillies. I picked up a couple of clumps of hybrid daylillies from an old lady at the flea market Saturday morning She was selling them right out of plastic grocery sacks. I asked her if she might have known the neighbor of mine who had passed away a few years back. She wasn't very sure she did. My neighbor's garden had every color hybrid daylilly known, I think, and they were all acqured from local growers and mostly from the flea market. Too bad they are all dead now. Anyway, I gave the lady $3/clump and I have them spread out all over the yard now. I have renewed optimism today since we had a bit of rain last night and this morning. Daylillies seem to be the only thing that grows well enough in the hot dry soil of my yard. They seem to outbloom anything else I plant. Oh yeah. I also picked up a very well used Pentax K1000 with a lens. This picture is of a pale pink lily using the K1000. ~lillies (pink). Pentax K1000 and Pentax lens. TMax100. Comment (2) | Permalink |
