![]() train on the prairie Wednesday, 30 April, 2008 I have been gone from the blog for awhile. I actually have been away completely, having just returned from sunny North Dakota. The trip was not one for pleasure, yet leaving there was difficult, emotional. Even with the incessant wind, the snow, and the constant brown, I found myself in love with the wild of it all over again. I like my solitude and North Dakota offers that. I'm already thinking about my next visit. Of course, once I got home, I realized that time moved forward and spring is actually a reality. I have brought back a couple of rolls of film, but it might be awhile before they actually are processed. My daughter came back with 4 rolls of black and white film. I am so proud. There are some things close to my mind today - life, death, sickness, love, yearning. This picture was taken while I was stopped at the train crossing and watching it whiz by while the wind tossed the grass tops around- using my crappy digital point and shoot through the windshield of my car. I never really realized while I lived there that the trains went through several times a day, even several times an hour. ~Train, Dickinson ND- Comment (4) | Permalink |
